Hi Suzie

Thanks for the inspiration. I have trialled this in my classroom today and it has been an interesting experience! The biggest issue for me was troubleshooting the mics. We haven't really used voice recording before and I have a 'variety' of computers in my room. Some worked straight away and others didn't work at all!

Check it out on our blog: http://m3rbs.21classes.com

I am collecting examples of how educators are using Voicethread in their classroom or for professional development on a wiki at: http://voicethread4education.wikispaces.com/

My plan is to share these examples with other technology teachers who provide professional development in their schools.

Feel free to add your own examples or links to resources. Thanks in advance,
Colette Cassinelli

Hi Suzie,
What a cool lesson. I will have to try something like this myself with my Year 2s! Thanks for sharing your reflection too.

Suzie, this is a GREAT blog. I love how you talked about what went well and not well, then put your thoughts about what you would change. I understand your thoughts about the background noise now that I've listened to the Voicethread, but it sounds like the other kids are ENGAGED! Wish I would always have that problem! Great job, I may show this VT off with your permission. I'm trying to get a bunch of good resources like this to show teachers and get a Ning group started for teachers to share ideas. Thanks again, keep up the great work.
Oh yeah, I LOVE the clock problem, I always gave that to my high school kids.....and they struggled with it for awhile!
